Who We Are

After experiencing both hospital and home birth, I was inspired by the personalized care of my midwife, who later became my mentor, to pursue midwifery myself. With my family’s support, I began assisting local midwives in 2010, and, in 2018, I began my journey toward midwifery. In 2022, I got serious about using my experience to finish my apprenticeship and earn my national certification as a midwife!

My background includes fostering 11 babies, working as a nanny, and earning a degree in Elementary Education with additional training in American Sign Language. A semester in Kenya deepened my awareness of the importance of nutrition, a value central to our care at Knit Together.

Lynn and I believe pregnancy and birth are natural, God-designed processes. We provide individualized care from conception through six weeks postpartum, emphasizing nutrition, education, and informed choice, while collaborating with other healthcare providers as needed.

My journey in birth work began many years ago, as I supported friends and family as a labor coach while raising my own seven children. In 2019, I became a certified birth doula and began serving women full-time in both home and hospital settings. Shortly after, I began working as a midwives’ assistant, attending hundreds of births and gaining invaluable experience.

I was blessed to learn under the guidance of many wise and experienced preceptors as I advanced through my midwifery training. Today, as a licensed CPM, I count it a true joy to serve women and families as part of Knit Together Maternity Care.

I believe God designed women with the innate ability to birth in the way that is right for them. My goal is to provide steady support and attentive care, bringing a calm and gentle presence and a personal connection to each family I serve during this transformative journey.
